     John Miller, was born in Rockbridge County, Virginia and died 9 Mar 1909 in Upshur County, W.Va. His wife, Barbara Barrickman, died 28 May 1904 in Upshur County, W.Va. Both are buried at the Bailey Cemetery, Sand Run, Upshur County.

GRAVE

     According to the 1864 W.Va. Adjutant General's Report, John was 44 years old when he mustered into Company M, 3rd West Virginia Cavalry, on 16 Apr 1864. However, the final report states that he was 36 and confirms that he was born in Rockbridge County, Va.

     Following the war, John applied for a government pension, application #417.905, certificate #528.164.
