WILLIAM FRANKLIN MICHAEL was the son of Raymond James Michael and Mildred Beaver, both born in Tyler County, and married in Sistersville 23 November 1929. William was born 17 March 1930 and the family is found in the 1930 & 1940 census records of Tyler County:

According to an article in the Wheeling Intelligencer, 22 September 1950, William F. Michael enlisted in the U. S. Army at Sistersville 16 August 1949 and went to Fort Knox for training. William had a brother who was also serving in the fighting area in Korea.

William was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on September 5, 1950. He is buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Sistersville, Tyler County.
