STOVER FUNERAL SET TOMORROW
Funeral Services for Mrs. Joe L. Stover, 84, of Prosperity will be conducted at her residence at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. James H. Neal officiating and assisted by the Rev. Charles Dodd.
Bural will follow in the Prosperity Cemetery.
Mrs. Stover died at 5:15 a.m. yesterday at her home, after an illness of several weeks. Death was attributed to a heart condition.
Born in Floyd County, Va., Nov. 11, 1866, she was the daughter of John and Katherine Light and she was married to the late Joe L. Stover in 1885. He preceded her in death in 1933.
A member of the Methodist Church, of Dothan, Mrs. Stover had been a resident of Raleigh County for the last 44 years.
She is survived by three sons, Trenton M. Stover, Beckley, C. B. Stover, Fayetteville, and Dorsey Stover, of Leewood; five daughters, Mrs. T. E. Bays, of Mt. Hope, Mrs. William Moodespaugh, of Cranberry, Mrs. T. N. Thurmond, of Prosperity, Mrs. G. R. Rice, of Charleston, and Mrs. Raymond H. Bair, of Beckley; 21 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. One son, B. R. Stover, died in 1944.
The body remained at Calfee Funeral Home until 10 a.m. today when it was returned to the residence at Prosperity.
