Pamela Darlene Farley Ratcliff, 42, of Beckley, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at the home of her parents. Born March 2, 1959, at Beckley, she was the daughter of Leighton and Shirley McGraw Farley Jr. of Midway, with whom she re-sided. Pamela was a graduate of Independence High School; she received her bachelor of science in elementary education from Concord College in 1984; master's degree in special education from WV Graduate College (Marshall University Graduate College) in 1992. Pam was a Raleigh County school teacher for 12 years prior to her illness. She was a member of (WIBC) Ladies Classic Bowling League, active with Little League Ball, fishing, racing, and giving to others. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Leighton C. and Ethel May Darnell Farley Sr.; and her maternal grandfather, Charles C.V. "Luke" McGraw. Survivors in addition to her parents include a son, Ryan Ratcliff and two daughters, Courtney Ratcliff and Nicole "Nikki" Rupe at home; two brothers, Kim Farley and wife, Doris, of Dobson, N.C., and Kevin Farley and wife, Jerri, of Cool Ridge; a sister, Pebbles Farley of Maple Fork; her grandmother, Hattie Mae McGraw of Princewick; a very special friend, Flo Spicer of Midway; a very dear and special aunt, Helen Farley of Sophia; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Baptist Church in Beckley with the Rev. Paul Blizard officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Sophia, and one hour before the service Saturday at the church. Pallbearers will be Randy Hunt, Matthew Jesse, Bill Wood, Ty Harold, Steve Lickliter, and Phillip Rupe. In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Center, P.O.
