PETER WILLIS HIGHLEY, born 10 April 1894, in Wanamaker, Monroe County, Ohio, was the son of Robert H. Highley and Pleasey Haught, married in 1882.

MOTHER'S OBITUARY: PLEASY HAUGHT HIGHLEY

Pleasy, daughter of Levi and Malinda Haught, was born in Washington County, O., Dec. 24, 1854, died at her home near Calcutta March 13, 1923, aged 69 years, 2 months and 20 days.

She was united in marriage with R. H. Highley Dec. 7, 1882 unto this union five children were born, namely; Mrs. Walter Taylor and Mrs. Andrew Taylor, of Calcutta, Mrs. Albert Hendershot of Pleasants, one son, Peter W. who lost his life in France, and one other child has gone to the home above, waiting to greet the mother. Also 18 grand children, and one great grand child. - Mrs. Highley joined the Baptist Church in her younger days and later joined the Methodist church in the year of 1913 at Pleasants. She lived a faithful Christian life until she was called away. - She was a faithful wife, a loving mother and a good neighbor and was loved by all who knew her. - Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at the church at Calcutta conducted by W. FATHER'S OBITUARY: ROBERT HENRY HIGHLEY

Robert Henry, the son of John and Mariah Highley, was born in Monroe County, Ohio May 15, 1853, and departed this life October 5th, 1928. Aged 73 years, – months and 21 days. His death was due to heart trouble. The deceased was united in marriage to Pleasey Haught Dec. 15, 1882. To this union was born five children, two of whom are deceased. He leaves to mourn their loss three children, Mrs. Andrew Taylor, Mrs Albert Hendershot and Mrs. Walter Taylor, all of St. Marys, W. Va.; two sisters, Mrs. W. M. Haught of Mingo Junction, Ohio; and Mrs John Baram–(unreadable) of Port H– mar, Ohio; 21 grand children and 3 great grand children, besides a host of friends. His companion passed to the Great Beyond five years previous. The deceased committed to the Baptist church of Monroe County, Ohio in his early life and continued a faithful member until death. - Rev. Shirley L.
