The Will of TRIPHENA P. HORNBROOK Submitted by Mariana Zuelsdorf. Triphena H Philbrick was the wife of Thomas Hornbrook of Wheeling Park. As a note of curiosity, Triphena invented the Beehive in 1861. 5/7/1892 Triphena P. Hornbrook Will The last will and testament of Triphena R. Hornbrook, widow of the late Thomas Hornbrook, deceased, late of the City of Wheeling, State of West Virginia. Well knowing that the (sic) by the statute laws of this my state, that any property I may leave at my death, would not be distributed according to the wish I have in relation to the same, I make this my last will & testament, intending to dispose of all the property I may leave at my death. 1. It is my will that all my just 2. debts & funeral expenses be first paid, as to all the property I may died possessed of I give & bequeath the same to my daughter Dora L. Hornbrook, she to pay out of the income thereof to Lucinda Robbins for her life time, the sum of one hundred dollars per annum, & if she die leaving her daughter Mary Orissa Robbins, to survive her, then to pay to the said Mary Orissa Robbins, one hundred dollars, per annum, during her life. 3. Especially do I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Dora L. Hornbrook, all my fancy work, & works of art, & rare specimens because I know that she greatly values the same for our sakes. I nominate my said daughter to be the executrix of this my last will, & I direct that no surety shall be required of her for the said office of executrix.
