The Will of JOHN GIBSON Submitted by Sara Richardson Kelly. John Gibson Will Bk. 7 pg. 401 February 24, 1885 In the name of God Amen! I, John Gibson of Liberty District in Ohio County6 West Virginia being sound in body and of disposing mind and memory hereby revoking and annulling all wills by me heretofore at any time made do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in the manner and form following: First, I direct my executrix hereinafter named to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses out of my personal estate as soon as convenient after my decease. Second, I devise and bequeath my entire estate real personal and mixed to my beloved wife Margaret to be held used occupied and enjoyed by her during her natural life. And if at any time during her said life she shall consider it necessary for her comfortable support I hereby give her full power to sell transfer and convey any portion or all of said estate and to use the proceeds thereof for her maintenance. Third, I will devise and bequeath all of my estate that shall remain at the death of my said wife to Dr. John T. Carter in trust with full power at his discretion to sell and convey the same to invest and reinvest the proceeds thereof for the use, and benefit of such of the grandchildren of my said wife as may be living at her death and direct him to hold said estate and to distribute the proceeds thereof annually among said surviving children until the youngest shall attain the age of 21 years at which time he shall divided the said estate among the survivors of said children share and share alike. Fourth, I hereby nominate and appoint my said wife Margaret as the executrix of this my last will and testament and request that she be not required to give security on her bond as such executrix.
