He was also a minister of Methodist church, and occasionally filled the pulpits of the city churches on Sabbath. He was a warm hearted gentleman, with a fair knowledge of medicine, and gave promise of doing a good practice, but his health early gave way, and he died of consumption December 22, 1870.
