ALFRED CALDWELL 

Hon. Alfred Caldwell, at present filling the office of attorney 
general of West Virginia, was elected to said office by the 
democratic party in 1888.  He had previously served in the state 
senate, where he became conspicuous for his ability.  Although a 
young man he is recognized as one of the brilliant and able lawyers 
of the state.
