POINT PLEASANT - Marian Burt Sayre, 98, of Point Pleasant, died
Thursday, September 20, 2001, at Pleasant Valley Hospital, following
a brief illness.
Born March 3, 1903 in Cambridge, Ohio, she was a daughter of the
late Perry E and Anna L (McCann) Burt.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Colonel Charles
Lewis Chapter of DAR and Point Pleasant Woman's Club. She was
an English teacher in Mason County for 30 years, and a former
member of Johnson Memorial Church, Buford Chapter DAR and Huntington
Woman's Club in Huntington, West Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by
her husband, John Sayre; a son, John Sayre Jr.; a brother, Fredrick
Burt; and a sister, Margaret Koebler.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Nancy S and Cecil
Minton of Point Pleasant, and Mary E Potter of San Antonio, Texas;
son and daughter-in-law, William B and Suzanne Sayre of Huntington;
a brother, Edward E Burt of Anaheim, California; five grandchildren,
Diana Johnson of Monet, Montana, Ellen Potter of Point Pleasant,
Anna Sayre of San Mateo, California, Jack Sayre of Madison, Wisconsin,
and Shannon Sayre of Proctorville, Ohio; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 pm on Sunday, September 23, 2001 at Wilcoxen
Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, with Dr L Frank Frye officiating.
Burial will follow in Beale Chapel Cemetery, Apple Grove. Friends

noon until 2 pm.

MASON, W.Va. - Robert "Bobby" Paul Schneider Jr., 42,
of Mason, died Sunday, October 14, 2001 at Pleasant Valley Hospital
in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.
Born October 18, 1958 in Batesville, Indiana, he was the beloved
son of Robert Paul Schneider Sr., and Judy Schneider of Florence,
Indiana, and step-father, Gene Wolfe of New Castle, Pennsylvania.
A 1976 graduate of Meigs High School, he was a boilermaker and
construction worker, and a member of the International Brotherhood
of Boilermakers.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte (Carr) Coleman;
two brothers, Steven Schneider and Kenneth Scott Wolfe; and two
grandfathers and one grandmother.
Along with his father, stepmother and stepfather, he is survived
by a daughter, Tara L. VanZandt and a a son, Jaryd Bradley Schneider,
both of Fort Worth, Texas; four sisters and three brothers-in-law,
Jeanie and Jeff Boggs of Cincinnati, Cindy and Rick Baker of Logan,
Patti and Billy Louks of Florence, Indiana, Julee Wolfe Meadows
of Mason; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Amy Schneider
of Milan, Indiana; paternal grandmother, Elsie Schneider of Lawrenceburg,
Indiana; nine nieces and nephews; and special aunts, uncles, cousins,
and friends.
Graveside rites will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2001
at Lone Oak Cemetery in Point Pleasant. Pastor Mark Morrow will
officiate.
There will be no calling hours.

Church of Christ and was a retired florist.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by

Sandra Gayle Eads; three brothers, Carl Clyde Spears, William

and attended New Life Church of God of Gallipolis, Ohio.
She was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Gaye Hodges Skeens of Nitro died Saturday, March 24, 2001, in
Thomas Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was the youngest of three daughters born to David and Alice
Hodges of Hernshaw, W.Va.
She was a beloved mother, homemaker, wife and friend. She was
a member of the Hernshaw Baptist Church. She attended local schools,
graduating from East Bank High School and Capital City Commercial
School.
Gaye was preceded in death by a son, James Arthur Skeens III,
father, David L. Hodges, mother, Alice Mitchell Hodges, and sister,
Eliza Jo Halstead.
She is survived by her husband, James A. Skeens Jr.; brothers,
Lee Hodges of Victoria, Texas, Emmel Hodges of Hernshaw, W.Va.,
David Hodges of Marmet, W.Va.; sister, Mrs. Jeanette Hodges Keeney
of Racine, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews.

her husband, William Early Smith; two sons, Gene Wayne Smith and

Alfred Landon Sprouse, 66, of Point Pleasant, died Sunday, November
11, 2001, at Cleveland Clinic in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
Born October 23, 1935, in Mason County, he was the son of the
late James M. Sprouse and Maud Mae (Booth) Sprouse of Mason County.
He was a carpenter and worked construction. He was a 40-year member
of Carpenter's Local No. 1159 of Point Pleasant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters,
Wongga Hoffman and Eleanor June Bault; and brothers, Jack Sprouse
and James Franklin Sprouse.
He is survived by wife, Sandra J. (Richie) Sprouse; daughters,
Allison (Sprouse) Underwood of Point Pleasant, and Marsha Bumgarner
of Point Pleasant; son, Alfred L. Sprouse II of Point Pleasant;
sisters, Maurrene Schurman, Pearlene Van Ooteghem, Joann Reed,

She was also preceded in death by husband, John R. Stanley; a
son, Ronnie Stanley; a granddaughter, Tessa Connolly; two brothers,
Harry and Sidney Daugherty; and a sister, Midge Daugherty.

died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001 at her residence
Born Sept. 17, 1922 in Walton, W.Va., daughter of the late Ancil
and Sarah Cooper Daugherty, she was a homemaker, and worked at
Senior Citizens Center of Point Pleasant.
She attended Gospel Lighthouse, Pleasant Concord Baptist Church
and Gospel Tabernacle Church.
She was also preceded in death by husband, John R. Stanley; a
son, Ronnie Stanley; a granddaughter, Tessa Connolly; two brothers,
Harry and Sidney Daugherty; and a sister, Midge Daugherty.
Surviving are five sons, James (Judy) Stanley of Point Pleasant,
Donald (Ann) Stanley of Dallas, Texas, Stephen (Tereasa) Stanley
of Greenboral, N.C., Richard (Sue) Daugherty of Youngstown, and
Robert Stanley of Arkansas; five daughters, Deloris (John) Budd
of Montana, Brenda Clark and Diane Pearson, both of Point Pleasant,
Linda Workman of Gallipolis, and Connie Wyer of Parkersburg, W.Va.;
26 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, June Justice

COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Mrs. Sally Lou Musgrave Steenbergen, retired
school teacher and lifelong resident of Columbia, died Monday,
June 11, 2001 at Maury Regional Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at a later date, with the Crow-Hussell
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at
Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia. Burial will be in
Lone Oak Cemetery, Point Pleasant.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
A native of Ten Mile, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the
late C.G.P. Musgrave and Eva Yauger Musgrave.
Mrs. Steenbergen received her Bachelor of Science degree from
West Virginia University in 1935 and taught in Wahama high School
in West Virginia that year. In 1938, she was transferred to Point
Pleasant Junior High School. Later she received her Masters Degree
in school administration and supervision from Marshall University.
She received her Certificate for County Superintendent from Marshall
University. When her husband, John W. Steenbergen, was in military
service, Mrs. Steenbergen returned to her home in Point Pleasant,
and served as principal of Wahama High School. Later, she was
appointed county superintendent. At the end of World War II, Mr.
and Mrs. Steenbergen moved back to Columbia, where she taught
at Whitthorne Junior High School for several years.
Mrs. Steenbergen was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Daughters
of the American Revolution, and was former treasurer for several
years of the James K. Polk Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, John W. Steenbergen
of Columbis; daughter-in-law, Berry Steenbergen of Columbia; and
two grandchildren, William R. "Bill" Steenbergen and
Lee Steenbergen, both of Columbia.
She was preceded in death by one son, John W. "Jock"
Steenbergen III; and one sister Anna Lee Collins.

BIDWELL - Rex M. Stone, 70, of 836 Thaxton Road, Bidwell, passed
away unexpectedly at 2:25 a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2001, in
the emergency department at the Holzer Medical Center.
Born April 19, 1931, in Rutland Township of Meigs County, he was
the son of the late J. Armour Stone and Myrtle Haynes Stone.
He was a retired maintenance technician in Columbus, where he
was employed for more than 40 years before returning back to Gallia
County.
He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Pomeroy,
and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 731 in Point Pleasant,
W.Va. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and
was a 1945 graduate of the Bidwell-Porter High School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife,
Betty R. Varney Stone, in November 1989; a sister, Ruth Grandel;
and three brothers, Shirley Stone, Russell Stone and Bob Stone.
He is survived by a very special friend, Kathryn Green Costen
of Bidwell; three brothers, Vernon Stone and his wife, Doris,
both of Johnstown, Warren Stone and his wife, Mary, both of Pataskala,
and Roy Stone of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are special friends, James Green of Middleport,
Bill Green of Gallipolis, Linda Baisden of Oak Hill, and Brenda
Stotler of Gallipolis.
Services will be 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2001, in Cremeens

Sheffield Lake, OH-DORSEL E. THOMAS, 60, of Sheffield Lake, died
Sunday, Jan. 14, 2001, at his home after a lengthy illness.
He was born Feb. 24, 1940, in Leon, WV, and moved to Point Pleasant,
WV, where he lived until moving to Sheffield Lake 32 years ago.
He served in the U.S. Army. He worked for 33 years in small tool
repair at the Ford Motor Company Lorain Assembly Plant and later
at the Ohio Truck Plant in Avon Lake after they first opened.
He retired in 1998.
He was past master and a member of Sheffield Mason Lodge 628,
Free and Accepted Masons, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Society,
Valley of Cleveland, Al Koran Shrine, Cleveland, and was past
patron of Day Chapter 479, Order of the Eastern Star. He attended
Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Lorain. He enjoyed hunting,
fishing, playing the guitar, cooking out, barbecuing, riding his
motorcycle, remodeling and doing handiwork.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Sheila Leona (nee King);
sons Edward E. Thomas of Sheffield Lake and Michael W. Thomas
of Avon; daughter, Deborah L. Kish of Sheffield Lake; six grandchildren;

Born May 10, 1913 in Indianapolis, Ind., she was a daughter of
the later Homer and Jennie (Moore) Baldwin. She was a member of
Westside Church of Christ in Pomeroy, and a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by
three sisters; and a brother.
Surviving are her husband, William "Forrest" Thomas

LEON - Ruth E. Thomas, 60, of Leon went home to be with the Lord
Feb. 18, 2001, at her residence, surrounded by family and friends.
Born Oct. 17, 1940, at Leon, she was the daughter of Hazel E.
Peck of Leon and the late Homer Peck.
Mrs. Thomas was an active member of Leon Baptist Church and the
Women's Missionary Society. She was a 1958 graduate of Point Pleasant
High School and was a retired payroll clerk from the AEP River
Division.
She was an avid hunter, lover of outdoor activities and sports
and loved to travel. Ruth's love and friendship will linger in
the hearts of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Luther, and brothers,
Charles and Keith Peck.
Other survivors include her: husband, of 42 years, Don Thomas;
daughters, Donna "Tootie" Mills and husband, Steve,
of Bolt, Terrie Martin and Husband, Jeff, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.;
seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
soon to arrive.
Also surviving: sisters, Eleanor Keefer and husband, Alvin, of
Leon, Frances Cantrell and husband, Don, of South Charleston;
brothers, Stephen Peck and wife, Betty, of Chelsea, Ala., Donald
Peck, Roger Peck, Larry Peck and wife, Becky, and Mike Peck and
wife, Rhonda, all of Leon; several nieces and nephews and many
friends.

Earlie V. Thornton, 80, of Point Pleasant, died Saturday, Dec.
8, 2001, at Scenic Hills Nursing Center in Gallipolis, Ohio.
Born Feb. 20, 1921, in Mason County, he was a son of the late
Orville and Artha Hawkins Thornton. He also was preceded in death
by his wife, Evelyn Thornton; son, Robert Thornton; seven sisters,
Pearl Thornton, Minnie Legue, Sylvia Burchard, Iva Gehard, Goldia
Greenleaf, Mae Oldaker, and Bernice Swisher; and one brother,
Earnest Thornton.
He was a security guard with General Services Administration and
was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Linda Thornton
of Point Pleasant; daughter, Connie Thornton of Point Pleasant;
and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Deal Funeral Home with
the Rev. Nancy Mayes officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills
Cemetery, Flatrock.

died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, at Arbors of Gallipolis.
Born Sept. 4, 1910, in Kanawha County, he was a son of the late
Eli and Minnie (Bowe) VanSickle. He was a farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife,
Goldia Mae (Dowell) VanSickle; a daughter, Maxine Hysell; one
great-great-grandchild; and two brothers, Charlie VanSickle and
Clyde VanSickle.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Susan VanSickle
of Southside; four daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Ray Higginbotham

MIDDLEPORT - Charles Monroe Walker Jr., 50, Middleport, died Friday,
May 18, 2001 in St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, W.Va.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1950 in Mason, W.Va., son of the late
Charles Monroe Walker Sr., and Georgia Hawley Pullins. He was
a graduate of Middleport High School and was a four-year veteran
of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was a member of \VFW Post 9926 in Mason, W.Va.
Surviving are three daughters, Rainy, Patricia and Carrie Walker,
all of Rutland; three sisters, Diane Walker of Langsville, Rose
Rieke of McHenry, Ill., and Connie Walker of Kentucky; a brother,
Lucky Walker of Illinois; a grandson and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jack Walker.
Memorial services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Fisher-Acree

BIDWELL, Ohio - Marguerite Hereford Walker, 83, of Bidwell, died
Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at Holzer Medical Center.
Born April 2, 1918, in Mason County, she was a daughter of the
late Virgil E. Hereford and Rose Dabney Hereford.
She was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School and Holzer School
of Nursing.
She was a nurse at Holzer Hospital and retired from Holzer Clinic,
Gallipolis. During retirement, she worked as a volunteer nurse
for the American Red Cross bloodmobile of Gallia County, and made
wedding cakes professionally for several years.
She married Denver A. Walker on September 15, 1940 at Ashland
Kentucky, and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1992.
To this union were born two sons, Jack Ronald (Lois) Walker of
Lake City, Florida, and J. Roger (Dixie) Walker of Bidwell; two
daughters, Mary (Hank) Thompson of Bidwell, and Rosalee Walker
of Bidwell; and three grandsons, Jonathan Walker of Pickerington,
Ohio, J. Ryan Walker of Lake City, Florida, and Ryan Q. Ashworth
of Bidwell.
She is also survived by a brother, Virgil E. (Pearl) Hereford,
Jr. of Southside; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death
by two brothers, George W. Hereford and R. William Hereford; and
a sister, Dymple M. Snyder.
Services will be 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2001 in McCoy-Moore
Funeral Home, Vinton, Ohio, with Pastor Michael Lynn officiating.
Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park.

Housing Authority, and was a commissioner, West Virginia Civil

Fred William Willet, 77, Clifton, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001,
in Pleasant Valley Hospital.
Born Nov. 26, 1924, in Point Pleasant, W.Va., son of the late
Charles William and Oakley Belle Willet, he was a laborer with
the West Virginia Department of Highways and attended Hillside
Baptist Church in Pomeroy.
Surviving are his wife, Eutha Cunningham Willet; a daughter, Elizabeth
(Donald) Saxon of Clifton; four sisters, Mary Ann Stewart of Lakin,
W.Va., and Evelyn D. Lane, Freda May Roach and Velma Kay Wood,
all of Hartford, W.Va.; seven brothers, Ray Dale Willet and Robert
Roosevelt Willet, both of Hartford, Raymond Lewis Willet and Charles
Michael Willet, both of New Haven, W.Va., Clifford Otis Willet
of Gallipolis, Virgil Earl Willet of Grimms Landing, W.Va., and
Larry Eugene Willet of Point Pleasant; and several nieces and
nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Carl Edward Willet.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Fogelsong-Tucker Funeral Home,
Mason, W.Va., with the Rev. Charles Willet and Dr. James R. Acree
officiating. Burial will be in Craig Cemetery, Grimms Landing.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until
the time of services.

POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. - Cecil Williams, 70, Point Pleasant, died
Friday, May 18, 2001 in St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, W.Va.
Born Dec. 22, 1930 in Pike County, Ky., son of the late Sylvester
and Cynthia Childers Williams, he was a businessman, owner and
operator of Williams Coal Co. in West Columbia, W.Va., a local
member of the board of directors of City National Bank, and an
appraiser for City National Bank.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Faye Williams;
and two brothers, Donald C. Williams and Raymond Adkins.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Brehm Williams; a son, Kenny
(Kelly) Williams of Gallipolis Ferry; two daughters, Tricia (Rick)
Knight of Pine Hurst, N.C., and Debra (Steve) Day of Hurricane,
W.Va.; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild; two brothers,
Jerry Wray Williams of South Point, and Roger Lee Williams of
Pikeville, Ky.; and two sisters, Jean Bartley of Pikeville, and
Sue Smallwood of Dorton, Ky.
A private family service was held Sunday, May 20, 2001 at Deal
Funeral Home, Point Pleasant. Burial will be at the convenience
of the family.

Patricia R. Williams, 67, of Point Pleasant, died Friday, Dec.
7, 2001, at Pleasant Valley Hospital.
Born Dec. 27, 1933, in Springton, she was a daughter of the late
Eddison and Marie (Farley) Brehm. She also was preceded in death
by her husband, Cecil Williams; daughter, Sandra Faye Williams;
and sister, Sandy Brehm.
She was a homemaker and was president and owner of Flair Furniture
of Gallipolis Ferry. She was also owner of Williams Rental Agency,
part owner and secretary of Williams Coal Co., and member of the
Women of the Moose No. 731 of Point Pleasant.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Kelly Williams
of Gallipolis Ferry; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tricia and
Rick Knight of Pinehurst, N.C., Debra and Steve Day of Hurricane;
five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; four brothers, Weldon
Brehm of Mullins, Eddie and Billy Brehm, both of Florida, Martin
Brehm of California; and two sisters, Norma Ratliff of California,
and Faye Johnson of Indiana.
A private family memorial service was held Sunday at Deal Funeral
Home at 2 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations to be given to
the American Heart Association 12110 in Charleston.

LETART - Jennifer Frances Williamson, 25, of Letart, went to be
with the Lord on Friday, October 12, 2001 at C.A.M.C. General
Division, Charleston, following an automobile accident.
Born August 25, 1976 in Point Pleasant,
W.Va., she was a daughter of Claracy "Susie" J. (Lee)
Craft of Letart, and the late Michael Williamson. She was employed
by McDonald's of Point Pleasant, and graduated from Point Pleasant
High School in 1995. She had attended Henderson Tabernacle and
the Center of Life Church.
In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her stepfather,
Clinton Craft of Letart; and a sister, April Elaine Craft of Letart.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2001 at Wilcoxen
Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, with Pastor Elmer Geiser officiating.
Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens, Point Pleasant.

WHEATON, Ill. - Stephen Clay Williamson II, 28, a lifelong resident
of Wheaton, Illinois, died Saturday, May 26, 2001 in Central Dupage
Hospital, Winfield, Ill.
Born September 9, 1972 in Winfield, he graduated from Glenbard
High School and was recently accepted into the Macintosh Culinary
Institute in New Hampshire.
Stephen is survived by his mother, Linda Kmiec of Wheaton; father,
Stephen C. Williamson of Point Pleasant, W.Va; grandmother, Mary
F. Fowler of Point Pleasant; maternal step-grandmother, Pearl
Wadley of Bolinbrook, Illinois; aunts, Stephanie Gail Fowler of
Point Pleasant, and Janice Gineris of Orangeburg, South Carolina;
and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles E. "Horsey"
Fowler.
Services were held in Illinois and a graveside service will be
conducted Friday, June 1, 2001 at 3 p.m. at Kirkland Memorial
Gardens, Point Pleasant, with the Rev. Larry K. Albright officiating.

GALLIPOLIS FERRY - Erma V. Wood, 92, of Gallipolis Ferry, went
home to be with the Lord Saturday, October 13, 2001. She died
at Scenic Hills Nursing Center where she had resided for the past
seven years.
Born October 9, 1909, the daughter of Jerome Harbour and Oshie
Laura (Bowen) Harbour, in Hogsett, she was a homemaker, a former
seamstress for Quality Manufacturing in Point Pleasant and a quilter
with Appalachian Craftsmen and Cabin Creek Quilts.
She was also a member of Pleasant View Church in Gallipolis Ferry,
W.Va.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband,
Nathan R. Wood (1967); sisters, Etta Harbour, Roma Bush, Bonnie
Wood, Mertie Litchfield, Nora Bush and Thelma Nibert; and daughters,
Irma Joan Wood and Gloria Kay Wolfe.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-laws, Sue and Lowell Allen
of Gallipolis, Ohio and Joyce and John McCain of Kenova, W.Va.;
brother, Stanley Harbour of Mason, W.Va.; grandchildren, Renee
Henry, Jack Wolfe, Laura Bobbins and Tony Wolfe; great-grandchildren,
Josh Carmichael, Bethani Carmichael, Krista Wolfe, Justin Wolfe,
Nathan Wolfe, Ryan Wolfe, and Jason Wolfe; step-grandchildren,
Joe McCain, Robert (Bo) Allen, and Pamela Caldwell; and step-great-grandchildren,
Taylor Renee Allen, Ryleigh Noelle Caldwell and Tanner Allen.
Services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant View
Church with Reverend William (Bud) Hatfield, Reverend Odell Bush
and Reverend Lee Baird officiating. Internment will be at Beale
Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove, W.Va.

SISSONVILLE - Loretta M. (Williams) Wriston, 70, of Sissonville,
and formerly of New Haven, died Tuesday morning, August 21, 2001
at the Cedar Ridge Nursing Care Center in Sissonville.
She was a retired postmaster with the United States Postal Service
and a graduate of Clendenin High School.
Born June 5, 1931 in Charleston, West Virginia, she was a daughter
of the late Herman L. Williams and Nancy Vora (Cottrill) Sullivan.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by
her husband, Herman Ray Wriston.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Anitra and
Tom Morgan of Sissonville, Frances and James Lambert of Reno,
Ohio, and Georgia Denise Wriston of Lakeview, Michigan; two brothers,
Lewis Elwood Williams of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Robert Cremeans
of Sissonville; two sisters, Dortha W. Deibler of Charleston,
and Greta Runion of Sissonville; and six grandchildren, Ryan and
Laura Mae Morgan, Timothy and Valerie Lambert and Jessica and
Jonathan Wriston.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2001
at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, with the Rev. Michael
Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Memorial Gardens,
near Point Pleasant.

in Holzer Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was a
member of Leon Baptist Church, and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Yost; and son, Hubert
Yost.
Surviving are two daughters, Juanita Bordman of Point Pleasant,
W.Va., and Margie (Keith) Carpenter of Camp Conley, W.Va.; a daughter-in-law,
Hazel Yost of Eleanor, W.Va.; three sons, Bobby (Donna) Yost of
Tavares, Fla., Carroll (Genny) Yost of Bidwell, and David (Marlin)
Yost of Arbuckle, W.Va.; and 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Leon Baptist Church, with Pastor
Basil Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Suncrest Cemetery,

Judith A. "Judy" Zirkle, 56, of Mason, died Saturday,
Dec. 1, 2001, at Pleasant Valley Hospital.
She worked in housekeeping at Lakin State Hospital and the craft
department at Wal-Mart.
Born May 18, 1945, in Mason, she was a daughter of the late Herman
Ralph Zirkle and Maysel (Gibbs) Zirkle.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Lee and Brenda
Zirkle, Mason; grandson, Nicholas L. Zirkle of Mason; stepgrandson,
Douglas L. Young of Nelsonville, Ohio; brothers and sisters-in-law,
Ralph Wayne and Jean Zirkle of Hartford, W.Va., Loren and Linda
Zirkle of Mason, W.Va.; special person, John Jordan of Point Pleasant,
W.Va.; and several nephews.
The funeral will be Tuesday at Foglesong-Tucker Funeral Home with
Pastor John Hayman officiating. Burial will be in the Zerkle Cemetery.
