Born Nov.18, 1900, West Columbia, she was the daughter of the
late John and Savanna Rickard Mourning.
Her husband, Daniel H Marr, preceded her in death in 1968. Also
preceding her in death was a son, Willis D Marr, a brother, John
T Mourning and three sisters, Ora Johnson, Icie Marr and Rebecca
Gibbs.
She was a member of the Clifton Tabernacle Church.

Surviving in addition to her mother is a daughter, Mrs Cheryl

of Point Pleasant, died Saturday at 11:15 pm at the Thomas Memorial
Hospital in South Charleston.
He was a retired employee of the Monsanto Chemical Co, a member
of the St Paul United Methodist Church of Nitro, and a former
member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Point Pleasant.
He was born July 7, 1915 at Ripley to the late Forrest E and Lula
Mae Shotts Matheny.
He is survived by his with Annabelle Selby Matheny; one daughter,
Carol J Caldwell, Charleston; one brother, Alva L Matheny, Point
Pleasant; one sister, Mrs Mary E Blake, Shelton, Wash. and three
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at the Crow-Hussell

He was a ninth grade student at Point Pleasant Junior High School.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers, Daniel

Pleasant; and several aunts and uncles.

He is retired from Ceramic Tile Products of Parkersburg and a
former West Virginia Department of Highways employee. He was a
member of the Gospel Lighthouse Tabernacle at Leon.

A Keith McClung Sr., 83, Hartford, died Tuesday morning in Holzer
Medical Center.
Born August 29, 1898, at Rupert, W.VA., he was the son of the
late Lewis Edgar and Margaret Callison McClung.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife
Florence Juhling McClung, who died in 1966.
He was owner and operator of the Farmer's Store in New Haven and
was president of the Mason County Bank. He was a member of the
Hartford Baptist Church, a veteran of World War I and belonged
to the American Legion Smith-Capehart Post 140 at New Haven. He
attended West Virginia University and was active in the Democratic
political party.
Surviving are two sons, A Keith McClung Jr., Baltimore, Md., and
Dr Hugo Juhling McClung, Columbus, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at the Hartford
Baptist Church with the Rev Bud Hatfield officiating.
Burial will follow in Suncrest Memorial Part.

Captain Edgar "Chick" Null, 73, of Gallipolis Ferry,
died at his home Tuesday after a long illness.
He was born October 24, 1909 in Putnam County to the late Jess
Null and Retha Frost. He was a member of the United Methodist
Church at Bancroft, W. Va.
He was a retired river boat captain with Valley Line with 30 years
service out of St Louis, Missouri.
He was also a member of the Minturn Lodge No. 19 AF-AM of Point
Pleasant, a member of the Chapter and Commandary of Point Pleasant,
a member of the Beni Kedem Shrine of Charleston and the Pat Wilson
Shrine of Point Pleasant.
Surviving are his wife Helen Henry Null of Gallipolis Ferry; two
daughters, Mrs. David (Carol) West, Glendale, W.Va. and Mrs. James
(Karen) L Perdue, Gallipolis Ferry; three sons, William V Null,

He was the former Chief of Police in New Haven, a member of the
St Paul's Lutheran Church, a veteran of World War II and was a
member of the Smith-Capehart American Legion Post 140 of New Haven.

Word has been received of the death of Forest Reed of Monticello,
Ky., formerly of Mason and Putnam counties.
He was the husband of Jean Soladean Reed, who survives and the
brother-in-law of Scottie Soladean of Henderson.
Also surviving are a daughter, Barbara Davis of Virginia and two
grandchildren.

Lee C Richardson, 72, of Mason, died March 3 in the Houston Northwest
Medical Center Hospital in Houston, Texas.
She was born April 20, 1909, in New Haven to the late Edgar and
Zua Shank Capehart.
Her husband, Vacon M Richardson, preceded her in death in 1950.
She was a former assistant manager at the Mason Bowling.
Surviving are three daughters, Jane L Pierce, Baltimore, Maryland,
Mrs Janet L Crockett, Cheyenne, Wyoming, Mrs Joan L Metcalf, Houston,

Tuesday at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio.
Born in Mason County, he was the son of the late Reuben and Artie
Hoffman Rickard. He was a retired farmer and a member of Broad
Run Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife Lovina Roush Rickard; two sons, Herman
E Rickard, San Louis Obispo, Calif.; Reuben D Rickard, Albany,
Ohio; two daughters, Mrs Ellen Schmidt, Deleware, Ohio; Mrs Wade
"Marie" Jeffers, London, Ohio; two brothers, James and
Leonard Rickard, Albany.
Surviving family members also include six sisters, Mary Rickard
and Velma Rickard, Albany; Ruby Thomas, Parkersburg; Lucy Thomas,
Corneila, Ga.; Mae Howard and Letha Lieving, New Haven; 11 grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren; two nephews, raised in his home,
Milton Roush, Syracuse, Ohio, an Dale Roush, Apple Creek, Ohio;
and a brother-in-law, also raised in his home, Stanley "Jimmy"
Roush, Albany, Ohio.
Funeral services are Friday at 11 am at Bigony-Jordan Funeral
home in Albany, Ohio with the Rev Willard Love officiating. Burial

Valley Hospital.
Born Nov 15, 1890, West Columbia, he was the son of the late Joseph
M and Nannie J Mourning Rickard.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Emma Rickard, who died in
1967 and two daughters, Dorothy Rickard and Helen Sunday.
He worked for the New York Central Railroad as a car repairman.
Surviving are one daughter, Emogene Holmes, Corpus Christi, Texas;

12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Taylor Johnson in 1951,
and Elmer Ray Roach in 1963.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Point
Pleasant and a member of the Senior Citizens of Fort Randolph.
Also a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
Her husband, Wirt E Robbins, preceded her in death in 1972.
Surviving are one son, Angus H Robbins, Point Pleasant; one sister,

Born Nov 18, 1891, Point Pleasant, she was the daughter of the
late James Lincoln and Arabell LeMasters Barnett. She is preceded
in death by her husband, Jerry Rodgers, who died in 1954.
She was a retired Mason County schoolteacher and a member of Trinity
United Methodist Church. She was a past matron of Chapter 75,
Order of the Eastern Star and also a member of the Col Charles
Lewis NSDAR and West Virginia Education Association.
Surviving are one daughter, Zertha R Johnson, Flushing, New York;
one son, Jerry Rodgers Jr., South Charleston; two sisters, Eunice
Jividen, Point Pleasant and Esther B Mohl, Phoenix, Az.; four

Mason County schoolteacher with _8 years of service.
Her husband, Charles Rulen preceded her in death in 1977.

Harmon R Runyon, 66, of New Haven, died this morning in the Holzer
Medical Center Hospital.
He was born Sept 26,1915, in Catlettsburg, Ky. to the late Bill
and Bess Smith Runyon.
He was a member of the Smith-Capehart American Legion Post 140
of New Haven, he was a WWII Veteran and worked for the Ashland
Oil Refinery on the river boats and service station operator.
Surviving are his wife, Merble C Runyon, of New Haven; a step-son,
Larry J Parks, of Ravenswood; two half-sisters, Mrs Rosemary Stevens,
of Ashland, Ky., and Mrs Billie Jo Delany, of Cleveland, Ohio;
three step-grandchildren.
