Obituary
Joseph Hart was born in Fayette County, Pa., May 10, 1826, and died in Cooper District, Mason County, West Virginia, Feb. 22, 1906, aged 79 years, 9 months and 12 days. He leaves behind two sons and one daughter, twenty-nine grand-children and five great grandchildren.
The writer had known the subject of this sketch for almost twenty-five years, and as Mr. Hart was an interesting talker we often listened to his tales of earlier times, modes of travel, &c., with a great deal of interest. He always gave us good advice.
One son, J M Hart, is a United Brethren minister, well and favorable known in this and other counties.
Burial Saturday, Feb. 24th, in the Roseberry cemetery, funeral services conducted by Anderson Cottrill. A large crowd followed the remains to their last resting place. Peace to his ashes.
