Looking for information on William Muncy And wife Cinna last name
unknown they are listed in the fayette county 1850 & 1860 Census.
William would have been born around 1787 and Cinna around 1802 I
think it may have been a second marriage for both as they have no
children over 10 in the 1850 census also there is a Lisom age 15
& Lisann age 12 Kincaid also living in their house in 1850. If you
know anything or are interested in knowing anything I would love

Susan Kincaid was the daughter of John Kincaid and Mary Polly (Johnson)
Kincaid. Susan, first married Matthew Roscoe and had a daughter
named Belle. Then on April 6, 1876, Susan married William Benjamin
Taylor. I am desperately seeking the names of Susan and Benjamin
Taylor's children, because Susan and Benjamin are "supposed" to

I am looking for any information on my gggrandfather, ABRAM FORSYTHE.
I believe it is him I found on the 1860 Census for FAYETTE COUNTY,
MT. COVE. His father's name was also ABRAM, according to family
lore. His daughter's name was BEULAH FORSYTHE and she married my
ggrandfather, L.D. HUDSON in Leadville, COLORADO. My Abram also

Hanna(h) and Mary Francis Payne. They were married in Kanawha January
7, 1864. My ggrandfather was killed at Marris Creek in 1886. He
supposedly was born in Kentucky and Mary was born in Virginia. Andrew
was in the Civil War (Union). He may have had a brother named Mark.
Andrew and Mary were listed in the 1880 census with their 7 children:

One child died on voyage and was buried at sea. But the Fayette
County, WVA Marriage Index gives his place of birth as PA. He married
Maggie J. Sevy in Fayette Co., WV. 6 Mar 1886. Died ca 1920 at Latonia,
Ky. Children of this marriage were: Ella J., William, Richard, Elizabeth,
Ida Blanche, Henry, Eugene, John. The family lived in Fayette County,
WV. Maggie ran a boarding house and was also a midwife. Thomas worked
in the coalmines. Would appreciate any information on this family.

I am researching the Ferrells and the Neals in Fayette Co. My gggrmother was Orena Kathryn Neal Crawford Wood and she is buried in Westlake Cemetery in Anstead. My ggrfather was Leonard Erwin Ferrell, Sr. He died March 18, 1942. At the time they were living in a white house on the main highway in Anstead which was converted into a historical library or something like that. (Of course, that was the last time I was in Anstead which has been almost 20 years ago!) His family is also buried in Westlake. I would really appreciate any information about these families.

Elizabeth Miller married Robert McVey on 11/11/1847 in what has
been listed as Greenbriar County, Va. Search leads to the Beckley
(now WVa) area for the Miller family. She sometimes was listed as
Elizabeth Sheets and has been described as a very small, dark Cherokee
woman who had at least three sons (Abraham Miller, Andrew J. Miller,
George W. Miller) before marrying McVey with whom she had a daughter,
Elizabeth. Eventually they located in Floyd County, Kentucky. Please

Hi folks, just thought I would touch base and remind you all I am researching the McMillion family of Fayette County. I am a descendant of Richard McMillion and Mary Sutphin, their son Henry was my great grandfather. They lived in the Deepwater/Powellton area. My Grandfather Henry died as the result of the train explosion at McDunn in 1934. He was a miner who also made whiskey and did some prison time in 1924 for shooting Harvey Elsic (Elswick?)a crime he didn't do. Hary Bolden, cousin to Rebecca Darr (Henry's wife), did the shooting. Anyone know where I might be able to find a newspaper clipping on the incident? Thanks
