...I'm researching John F. ELLISON m. to Lucy J. ADAMS...their daughter
Lucy Beatrice ELLISON was my husbands grandmother. Lucy b. 8 AUG
1893, Fayette County, WV. d. 12 OCT 1977. I do know of other siblings.
My question is that I've looked at 1870 and 1860 census record (indicies)
and see John ELLISON...when I get back to the 1850 census (I have
the book) and there appear to be five (5)ELLISON children living
with 2 different WOOD families and a FOX family. At this point would
assume there must have been illness that possibly took the ELLISON
children's parents. Does anyone have a clue or an old family story
that might fit this?

I am looking for information about REUBEN H "CARL" ROLLINS. He married
HESTER MYERS and they had one daughter, RUBY ESTELLE ROLLINS. She

To the person or persons that I have emailed in the past year or
so about Jess Coleman m. to Bertha COLEMAN. I know I corresponded
via email with a person that had a Jess COLEMAN in their line. But
in those emails I was looking for a Jesse (Jessie) J. COLEMAN m.
to Lucy Beatrice ELLISON. I just found Jess COLEMAN m. to Bertha
COLEMAN in the 1920 Federal Census, Fayette Co., WV. First, I believe
"Bertha" COLEMAN to be Lucy Beatrice ELLISON. All the information
given to me by my father-in-law corresponds with the names and dates
he gave me for his (those) siblings in that census. Margaret, Lucy
and William. (I have more siblings born after 1920). Jess COLEMAN's
age in the 1920 census corresponds with the birth and death date
of our Jessie J. COLEMAN (my father-in-laws father). Bertha's age
in the census(26) corresponds with the date of birth that we have
for Lucy Beatrice ELLISON COLEMAN. (my father-in-law's mother).
If Bertha isn't our Lucy...Does anyone have a death date for! this
Bertha COLEMAN? A maiden name? A different death date for the Jess
COLEMAN in the 1920 Census? EUREKA!!!!! I've been searching for
a long time...I feel like I have the FACTS on this one...unless
someone out there can say otherwise? The only mystery to me is why

I am trying to find information on the John T. Carpenter family,
which included his father in law-John T. Tabler, they are listed
in the 1880 U.S.Census for Fayette County, West Virginia., but I
have not been able to locate John T. Carpenter or his wife Sarah
after 1880, both Carpenter and Tabler were ministers, and I would
think they were Baptist. Carpenter was from Rockbridge and Spotsylvania
Counties Virginia, Tabler was from Wythe, Botetourt and Berkeley

ERNEST ISAAC PERRY, B. 2 May 1894 in Dempsey, Fayette County married RUBY ESTELLE ROLLINS, b. 2 May 1901 in Fayette County(probably at Robson). They were married sometime between 1915-1919. Time and place unknown. Ruby was the daughter of HESTER MYERS and REUBEN H. "CARL" ROLLINS. Sometime after Ruby was born Carl disappeared. I am not sure if he died or they divorced. in Fayette Co. My G Grandfather was Woodman Stokley, he married
Flora Etta Scott (daughter of A. S. Scott) on 7-4-1890. Woodman
was born in 1864 and Flora in 1870. Woodman, Flora and my other

MCCARTHY, William N. I am searching for any information on my g-uncle William McCarthy, who was killed in World War II possibly aboard the USS Arkansas in 1944-45. He would have attended Oak Hill High School in the early 1940s; his brother John Richard McCarthy also attended Oak Hill in the 1930s. William may be related to James Newton McCarthy, b. 1915, also of Oak Hill, who committed suicide in 1967. William's parents were James Chandler McCarthy and Elizabeth Yates. I am stumped because I do not have his service number or SSN. William's name appears on the West Virginia Veterans Memorial.

Hello All, I am searching for Joseph or James Lawrence McGraw b
abt 1870. He married Artymincy E.J.(aka Ella) Hall and they had
8 children. In the Fayette Co Deaths there is a J.L. McGraw listed
as being the brother of Walter McGraw age 2y (Died in Fayette Co

Searching for any information on SAM HICKS that married SUSAN COOK.
Buried in Janette Cemetery (by the Lookout Baptist Church). Both
died around 1914-1916, and remaining living children parted out
to family members. SUSAN COOK had a sister, BERTHA LEE COOK that

Does anyone rememeber the Kenneth Hamilton family from the 1940's.
Not sure what town other than possibly Montgomery? There was Kenneth
John Sr, his wife Ruth Hazel Caldwell Hamilton, and several children.
Kenneth, Jr. Eddie, Terry, Linda Louise (Lou), Jimmy, Margaret,
Sandra Kay, Arlene and Gail. Kenneth died in March 1945 from possibly
a mining accident? His daughter Linda was born 3 days later.. any
help is greatly appreciated.. don't know how long they lived there
or how long after Kenneths death they stayed. Ruth moved later to
Detroit Michigan where she died in Dec. 1965. Thanks for any help.
