George David Zearott, Jr., born October 13, 1923, was the son of and George F. and Isabell (Callendar) Zearott, residents of Boggs Run, Marshall County, West Virginia. George had a sister, Betty Lee, and a brother, Jack Lewis.

On July 4, 1945, George David Zearott, 21, and Anna Marie Knollinger, 17, were married by Rev. Walter Lindemuth at the Lutheran Church on Boggs Run.

On October 26, 1953, George's sister, Betty Lee, the wife of Gail E. Ice, died of cancer.
George worked for the Sanders Motor Freight Company in Wheeling, and made his home with Anna at 162 Roosevelt Avenue on Boggs Run. They had four children: George, Gary, Joyce and Bruce.

On August 29, 1959, when son, Bruce, was only an infant, George David Zearott, Jr. died in an accident on the Ohio River at 12th & Water Streets.
George David Zearott of 162 Roosevelt Ave., Benwood, a driver for Sanders Motor Freight was accidentally drowned Saturday. Born at Boggs Run Oct 13, 1923, a son of George F. and Ishabell Callandar Zearott, he was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and a member of the Teamster's Union Local 397. Bereaved are his widow Anna Knollinger Zearott; his parents of Boggs Run; three sons, George, Gary and Bruce, all at home; one daughter Joyce Ann at home and a brother Jack also of Boggs Run. Friends are being received at the Beiswenger Funeral Home where services will be held Tuesday at 2pm with the Rev. Rodney Josephson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Isabell (Callendar) Zearott died in September 1963; her husband, George, in October 1968. They are also buried in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Wheeling.

Anna Marie Knollinger Zearott married Jack Myers on September 20, 1967. A daughter, Kimberly, was born to this union. Anna died in 1985 and is buried at Halcyon Hills Cemetery, Sherrard, Marshall County, West Virginia.
