Philip Gene Allietta, born October 29, 1949 in Marshall County, was the son of Eugene Allietta and Dora Ullum. He had a sister, Deborah.
In 1969, Philip Allietta and Linda Pettit had a daughter, Jodi Pettit.
Philip served in the United States Air Force with the 55th Tac Ftr Squadron. He was in England when he died in an auto accident.
Prior to his enlistment, Philip graduated from Union High School, Class of 1967, and was employed at the United States Stamping Company, Moundsville.
The father, born in Shadyside, Ohio in 1923, died in 1979.
Philip's mother, Eudora "Dora" M. Ullum Allietta, born in McMechen in 1924, died at Glen Dale in 1997. A senior care facility, The Dora M. Allietta Memorial Home, is located at 517 8th St., Moundsville.

Ullum, 71, of Williams Personal Care Home, 517 Eighth St., Moundsville, died Thursday, January 30, 1997, in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glendale. She was a member of the McMechen-Benwood United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Philip G. Allietta in 1970; her parents, Lorenzo and Floretta Lewis Ullum. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Deborah) Broski of Triadelphia; two brothers, William Ullum of Castro Valley, Calif., and Robert Ullum of Anderson, S.C.; two sisters, Ann Benham and Jeri Schrumpf, both of McMechen; a grandson, Roger A. Woods II of Bridgeport. Friends received 4-6 p.m. Saturday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214 Marshall St. McMechen. Private services will be held at the convenience or the family. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made to the McMechen-Benwood United Methodist Church, McMechen.
