John William Clark, born April 8, 1928 in McMechen, W.Va. to Harry Albert, and Ella Ammons Clark. Enlisted in U.S. Coast Guard in Apr. 1941, switched to U.S. Army & then Air Force in April 1945. A veteran of World War II. Served in Germany, Japan, England, and Thailand and various bases in U.S. Discharged in 1973 as Senior Master Sergeant. Married Marsha Harris in Dec. 1951 in New Mexico. Children were Lynda Arlene, John William, Jr., Gary James, and Debi. Died September 30, 1999 in Humboldt, Tn., and is interred in West Tennessee Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Memphis, Tennessee.
