Eveline...5-F...VAService Record: (Also J. H. Reynolds or J. Henry.) At age 22, he joined for duty, enrolled & mustered in at Buckhannon, Va. on Dec. 4 or 8, 1861. “Born at Marshall County, Va.” “Died of Consumption at Moundsville, West, Va. March 10, 1864.”
He had been home on furlough and was sick. He was the son of Lewis Reynolds and his second wife, Abigail Logston, married in Marshall County in 1840; Abigail died before 1850.
In the 1850 census, Henry lived with his father and siblings, Mary J., Jackson, Franklin, Ida and Eveline. Eveline, lived with the George Evans family in Moundsville in 1860, but Henry was not found. His father was killed by railroad cars in 1853.
Henry was buried at First Street Cemetery but remains were reportedly moved to Mt. Rose.
